Meet The Candidates At Kraitchar House - February 5, 2008

The historic Kraitchar House in Caldwell Kitchen Politicswas the setting for our first "Meet The Candidates" in 2008.  Local and regional candidates were pleantiful as were the questions and opinions.  The warm weather made punch much more popular than the advertised "coffee" and the eats were good enough to convert all but the most contentious of Democrats.  Overall, it was an excellent opportunity for one-on-one's with Republican candidates. We have a full page of picture coverage right here.

2007 Fall Fest  -  September 22, 2007

The Republican Party buffet line of Burleson County's 2007 Fall Fest kicked off the 2008 election cycle with politics, fun, learning, food, and a presidential straw poll.  Jerry Patterson, Texas Land Commissioner, was our featured speaker and aptly demonstrated that Texas history, even that of the Public Land Office, is far more entertaining that Saturday Night Live!

It was also an excellent night for "buttonholing" your favorite politician with local, state, and federal officals represented.  The presidential straw poll had some surprising results!   Check out our 2007 Fall Fest web page for full picture coverage.

Burleson County Republicans Featured at GOP.com

BC crawfish boilFrom October of 2006  to November 2007 (over a year!) the Republican National Committee's web sites, RNC.org and GOP.com [saved here as a 128KByte *.pdf] featured a photo of our 2003 Crawfish Boil as the lead-in to their GOP.com Photo Galleries. It's small, but it was the picture on the Republican Party's national home pages, and it's rewarding that they think our crawfish boil is representative of "All across America, candidates, state parties, and grassroots activists are hard at work growing our party." Heck, we were just having fun!  And, we can even let you see the full size version and  another with Marsha Stein, our Chair and chief crawfish boiler.
